Project Scope and reason for the project

UMAS and our current web site will be replaced by a new database and new web site. The systems will be provided by Member Wizard. The reason for this is that our current database UMAS and our current web site will no longer be supported past June 2027. We have an option to get an integrated financial system as part of the member wizard data base. We have chosen to get the integrate financial package.

Ambition

There will am outage from the time UMAS is shut down and the new systems are up running and there will take some time for all members to learn the new system. This is inevitable but we should aim for as smooth transition as possible. Training and Support should be top priorities.

Switch over to new system

The switch is planned for the break between term 3 and term 4. This is 18 September to 5th October.

Way of communication

Email can of course be used but in order to limit the number of emails sent out the team will be using MW document library. The documents will be stored in the library Member wizard trial team documents. Document in this library can only be read by member in the Member Wizard trial team group.

Lars Jonasson is overall responsible to drive this project, but ultimate responsibility is if course with the Committee.

The project will be carried out by the administration sub-committee and frequent meetings will be required. Clara and Ann Banham and maybe others will be invited to these meetings. Much work will be required by the Activity sub-committee.

Communication to the members is important and is carried out by the communication sub-committee. Clara is responsible for Communication to Convenors.

Des Buckmaster will support our Treasurer Bronwen when it comes to integrate our existing financial system into Member Wizard.
