This web page is used for planning the new web site that we will receive in conjunction with the upgrade to the member wizard data base.
A small team has been created to plan for the new web site. It is Lars, Ann, Sandi and Des,
The understanding is that we will receive this web site as a template and have to build it up manually with the content we wish to have,
I put either L (for Lars) and A (for Ann) as responsible for some the update. Some of the migration of the new web site will be trivial as only copy from the old web site is required. For Activities and Membership there will be a link to MW but the text may require some work. The FAQ section will be very time consuming so here we need volunteers.
So, this is a draft based on us using mainly the same menu headings as the old web site. U3A Network want to keep us to the template so all U3As have a uniform look.

- What other top menu items may be required?? E.g Gallery, resources etc. Do we want to change the menu headings compared to the old web site ?
- It is proposed to have procedures stored in MW data base as not required to be visible for non-members. Committee minutes and documents can be stored in MW data base as access to only Committee is possible
- In general, for Collections only 2026 data will be migrated to the new web site. Exception is Choir and Friday art group.
- Only newsletters from 2025 and 2026 will be migrated.
- There is some obsolete old information that should be removed
- For some time, we have stopped storing news flashes on the web. The idea is that all members receive the news in email and news are short lived. There are now new ways to show latest news in for of posts so we should have a rethink.
