Background
Over Term 2 and 3 as well as looking at local issues the current affairs group have been taking a deep dive into a couple of international issues.
Starting in term 2 in groups of 4-5 participants we looked at the Middle Eastern countries surrounding the current conflict in Israel, Egypt, Iran Lebanon Jordan, Syria and Iraq. Each group researched the geographical, cultural and political background and issues surrounding these ancient lands which all date back to the cradle of civilisation. This provided some interesting insights into what is the current complicated and very complex situation we see played out in the daily news cycle.
